Yoga For Women - Trusting Your Inner Wisdom
Rachel has overtime developed a series of classes specifically focussed on women and how yoga can support and encourage a pathway to peace regardless of your stage of life. For Rachel, this journey started when pregnant with her first daughter 15 years ago, this then developed into offering post natal yoga. Over time, Rachel has joined up the dots with the cyclic nature of women and the transition points at different phases of life. This collection of classes offer a group exploration of how yoga can support women based on Rachel's personal practice experience and learnings with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Maya Tiwari.
Yoga For Women
How do you create balance for yourself with conflicting priorities and the linear world? This 12 week series is an exploration into the cyclic nature of womanhood. This series is to support the unique female body and the wisdom that is within to create physical and emotional balance using yoga and Ayurveda.
This series will help you to tap into your own natural rhythms that are so closely linked to the cycles of the earth allowing you to find a sense of inner peace and connection to yourself. We will journey through the seasons of the inner cycle and marry these with appropriate yoga, meditation, relaxation explorations.
In simple terms, you will learn about listening to your own wisdom, your body and energy - as well as our relationship to our external environment. And then practice and live accordingly. We will consider the relationship between the lunar cycles and our menstrual cycle and dive into the four stages of the cycle which will include how we practice yoga during each phase. If you aren't currently menstruating you can still be included in this part of the course. We will also look at the cycles of the breath, the seasons of the year and life, the solar seasons.
Yoga for Pregnancy
Promoting a nurturing experience that supports the body and mind while focusing on the breath, this is the supportive basis of a pregnancy class. It is a great tool to prepare the body for labor, while aiding it through openness, strength and a calmer mind. Yoga practice will teach you the valuable lesson of your role in the birth process, inspiring and empowering you to give birth with greater confidence. This is much more than just a yoga class – there’s birth preparation, friendship and lots of information. Rachel has been sharing her passion for yoga, pregnancy, birth and post-natal work for fifteen years. Hundreds of women have enjoyed her classes, developing a wonderful sense of community, lasting friendships and support.
Yoga for the Post- Natal Period
More than a yoga class, postnatal classes are a unique blend of yoga and supportive space for you and your baby. The yoga practice is gentle: soft movement to release tightness and tension, ease aches and pains and support in the regeneration of your body in the post natal period. Breathing, meditation and relaxation help you feel rested and refreshed, even if you didn’t get much sleep last night. There’s time for discussion, sharing experiences and tips, and bucketloads of reassurance. There is support and encouragement for you to trust your own instinct about what is right for you and your baby. And there is a chai and biscuits to keep up your energy!
Yoga for Peri-Menopause and Menopause
If you feel overwhelmed, tired, angry, hot, anxious, brain-fogged, if you can’t sleep, or feel a lack of joy in life, yoga may help to support you to bring balance. Yoga for Peri-Menopause/Menopause is both a therapeutic style of yoga designed to help women manage menopause symptoms, as well as an empowering approach to this stage of life.
